Good, cheap local food only a short walks from Tanamas House about 5-10 minutes. Restaurants located on the way to the airport.
Rice is served with most Thai dishes. Most commonly it is simply steamed and served as an accompaniment to a main meal, but the popular fried rice, kao pad (which has the interesting pronunciation ‘cow pat’), is often a meal in itself. It can be ordered with chicken, pork, seafood or just vegetables, and, like many Thai dishes, comes with a cucumber, spring onion and lime garnish.
